Get answers to common questions about Underarms Wax.
Most clients enjoy smooth underarms for three to four weeks. Individual factors like hair growth rate, hormones, and aftercare can affect timing. Scheduling regular appointments every three to four weeks maintains optimal smoothness and reduces regrowth visibility.
Waxing causes brief discomfort during removal but is quick. Pain lessens with regular waxing as hair thins. Unlike shaving, waxing removes hair from the root for longer smoothness. We use soothing techniques to minimize discomfort and ensure a gentle experience.
Exfoliate gently one to two days before to remove dead skin, avoid deodorant or lotions on the day, and ensure hair is about a quarter inch long. Arrive relaxed; technicians will guide you with additional prep.
Yes in many cases, but disclose any skin conditions, recent treatments, or medications when booking. We may perform a patch test, use gentler waxes, or recommend alternatives if inflammation or certain skin disorders are present to ensure safety.
Avoid hot showers, saunas, heavy sweating, and tight clothing for 24 hours. Apply soothing aloe or calming lotion as directed, exfoliate gently after 48–72 hours, and skip deodorants with alcohol immediately post-wax to prevent irritation and ingrown hairs.
Ideally underarm hair should be about a quarter inch, roughly six millimeters, long so the wax can grip. If hair is too short waxing may be less effective; if too long we'll trim for comfort and optimal results.
