IPL is effective for many skin tones, but lighter hair responds best. Newer devices and settings allow safer treatment for darker skin; a patch test and consultation ensure correct settings and predict likely outcomes.
Most clients feel mild warming or a light snap; topical numbing can be applied if desired. Recovery is minimal — brief redness or swelling may occur, and normal activities resume quickly with recommended sun avoidance.
