Most clients need 6 to 8 sessions spaced four to six weeks apart for significant permanent reduction. Hair type, skin tone and hormonal factors affect results. Maintenance sessions once or twice yearly may be recommended for lasting smoothness.

Most clients describe only mild warm snapping sensations; our advanced IPL and cooling tools minimize discomfort. Topical numbing is rarely needed. Treatment is quick and well tolerated, especially compared with plucking or waxing.

IPL is most effective on darker hair and lighter skin due to light absorption by pigment. Newer IPL systems and customized settings improve safety for many skin tones, but a consultation and patch test ensure proper suitability and settings.

Avoid sun exposure and tanning for two weeks and stop waxing or plucking six weeks before treatment; shaving is allowed. Disclose medications and skincare products. We'll shave the area and perform a patch test to set safe treatment parameters.

Temporary redness, mild swelling, or slight darkening of hair follicles can occur, typically resolving within hours to days. Blistering or pigment changes are rare with proper settings and post-care. Follow aftercare instructions and contact us for any prolonged concerns.

You'll notice gradual reduction after the first few sessions; significant smoothness typically appears after three to six treatments as treated hairs shed and regrowth slows. Complete results may take months; follow-up sessions ensure long-term maintenance.
